TrueNET
Networked Duplication
Datasheet
TrueNET 2 is a sophisticated and versatile duplicating and printing management system, allowing multiple users to send CD/DVD images and print files to a CopyDisc system remotely from their PCs. Operators from various departments can now copy and/or print CDs or DVDs directly from their desktops at the touch of a button. TrueNET 2 is the ideal solution for any office which requires multiple users to produce multiple discs.
EASY TO USE TrueNET 2 has an easy to use interface...
Step 1: Select the CopyDisc model you wish to use from the "Network Device" field Step 2: Select whether to copy, print or both in the "Job Type" field Step 3: Choose the number of discs you want to produce in "Quantity" Step 4: Locate the Image and/or Print File you wish to copy from your local PC hard drive or from the CopyDisc's internal hard drive Step 5: Click OK
The status of each job is reported back to the user instantly, in real time. This makes remote copying and printing highly efficient and reliable since the CopyDiscs' functions can be viewed remotely, there is no need to physically supervise the duplicator itself.
Status Reporting
TrueNET 2 includes a range of advanced features such as the ability to queue jobs and to process two or more duplication jobs simultaneously. For example: with a CopyDisc8, an operator could queue eight separate masters for duplication, requiring one copy of each. All eight masters will be duplicated and printed in one session.
In addition, TrueNET 2 can automatically create CD or DVD images on the fly. Simply select the PC directory where your files are stored, request the number of copies and select copy. TrueNET 2 will take the PC files requested and create an ISO CD/DVD image as the files are transferred to the duplicator.
API API scripts (Application Programme Interface), can be used to provide a powerful interface between TrueNET 2 and a third party software application. Users can integrate a CopyDisc duplicator to an in house production or sales order system for example, and create "on demand" CDs. This includes both multiple copies of the same CD or “one off” unique CDs. By entering a few basic commands, users can actually produce unique CDs and DVDs automatically.
Customized mastering and suplicating allows each disc to be copied containing different information simply by changing the commands sent in each file. Example: when librarys offer a download to CD service, customers can choose unique content for their disc. Customized printing allows each disc to be printed with different text and/or graphics simply by changing the commands sent in each file. Example: each disc could be printed with a different contact name and address or each disc could have a different sequential number or bar code (see further example below) .
By combining the custom build and the custom print options, every disc can be unique and tailored to your exact requirements. API files allow for a very flexible solution based approach to disc production and printing.
PRINTING Easy to use disc labelling software called 'Label Designer' is built-in so that you can quickly design professional-looking disc that print directly onto printable-surface CDs or DVDs on any CopyDisc printer.
API also enables dynamic printing, allowing for unique labels to be produced easily using the output of a database. This feature can only be used with CopyDisc models fitted with the Rimage Prism or the TEAC P-55 thermal printers.
Example: A marketing department has a database listing all of its product photos, and these photos need to be copied onto 10 seperate CDs, each one with a sequencial number printed on it. Using basic API script, TrueNET 2 can interact with the database to print 10 CDs with the same information on, but with different numbers ranging from 1 to 10.
